Two NIH Postdoctoral Positions in Vascular Ion Channel Physiology – Navedo Lab at UC Davis

The Navedo Lab in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of California Davis is recruiting highly motivated, independent, creative and collaborative individuals for two NIH funded postdoctoral positions.

Our lab studies the cellular and molecular biology of ion channels and signaling molecules in vascular cells. Successful candidates will be part of a stimulating and collaborative scientific environment with cutting-edge instrumentation and facilitates, and a strong and nurturing mentoring program. Examples of our multi-disciplinary work can be found in Circulation Research, Science Signaling and eLife

Ideal candidates will have a PhD, MD or equivalent. Candidates should have a strong background in cardiovascular physiology and cellular biology of ion channels and signaling molecules. Expertise in cell biology, electrophysiology, calcium imaging, pressure myography and/or image analysis would be a big plus. One position will focus mainly on vascular function in health and disease and the other position will focus on the cell biology of ion channels in vascular cells. We highly value and encourage applications from individuals from under-representative groups.

Applicants should send CV as well as name and email of three references to mfnavedo@ucdavis.edu
