El neurocientífico y estudiante doctoral puertorriqueño David Schwarz es parte del Proyecto Andar de Nuevo (Andar du Novo), que le permitirá a un adolescente brasileño parapléjico, controlar un exoesqueleto robótico con su mente para dar la patada inaugural de la Copa Mundial de Fútbol 2014.

Este momento será histórico por muchas razones. Primero, la ocasión es la culminación de muchos años de investigación y del trabajo colectivo de cientos de científicos alrededor del mundo en campos desde la ingeniería, las ciencias de cómputos, y hasta la neurociencia.
