The Amgen Scholars Program, a summer research program at UCLA, is accepting applications from undergraduate students from across the US who are interested in pursuing a PhD and, eventually, a career in science. Undergraduate students interested in biomedical science, chemistry, bioengineering or chemical engineering research are encouraged to apply. NIH Funds New Educational Grants to Enhance Diversity in the Neurosciences The National Institutes of Health has funded five educational programs to encourage and prepare individuals from diverse backgrounds to pursue doctoral degrees in the neurosciences. The grants total an estimated $10.3 million over 5 years.

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans

The Fellowships are grants for up to two years of graduate study in the United States. The recipients are chosen on a nationally competitive basis. Thirty Fellowships will be awarded each year. A New American is an individual who (1) is a resident alien, i.e., holds a Green Card; or, (2) has been naturalized as a US citizen, or (3) is the child of a US naturalized parent (other parent cannot be US born).

Hola a todos: La Universidad de Kentucky en Lexington recientemente supo que les renovaron su programa de investigacion para subgraduados. Son 10 semanas de investigacion en el area de bioquimica celular y molecular. Pagan $4,600 por las 10 semanas mas hospedaje gratis. Now applicants must select and apply for one of three options based on their institution’s track record of students graduating and pursuing Ph.D.s in the biomedical or behavioral sciences and their number of faculty participating in funded biomedical research as principal investigators.
