My prime interest is to target several molecules in HIV-infected macrophages and microglia to reduce neurotoxic secretion and neuroinflammation in patients with HIV and that suffer HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders. We are trying to look a the role of several therapeutic approaches in HIV encephalitis mice model and to translate that in future HIV cohorts.
