Hello, I am an independent, self-employed and owner of my a healthcare professional services company, IRD Neuroanalysis Inc. I provide hospital services, private offices and teaching as a Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist in multiple locations in California. I did my neurology residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital-University of Miami and my fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology (with focus in epilepsy > intraoperative monitoring) ay the University of California-Irvine I did my undergraduate degree at University of Puerto Rico performing majors in Biology and Industrial Microbiology, graduated in 2009. I did a post-bac 2009-2010 at the National Institute of Health (NIH)--intramural research training pilot program--called the NIH Academy, where I worked in the National Institute of Neurological Disease and Stroke (NINDS) investigating mitchondrial dynamics (Bax/Bcl-XL, Parkin). It had a curriculum that focused on health disparities.
My advocacy and clinical interests include epilepsy and neuroimmunology. After I graduate, I want to be an advocate for underrepresented minorities to go into MD and PhD.
