An Invitation to Youth to Discover the Transformative Power of STEM in Their Lives and Communities
October 27, 2025 – San Juan, Puerto Rico — Plant Your Seed of Success is now available to inspire a new generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The book, co-authored by Drs. Greetchen Díaz Muñoz, Liz Hernández Matías, and Abniel Machín De Jesús, combines educational content and hands-on activities based on the curriculum for 7th to 9th grade students in the Seeds of Success program, which they lead through the organization Ciencia Puerto Rico (CienciaPR).
Each of the 10 chapters of this book is designed to help readers discover the world of STEM, learn from role models, and develop leadership skills. Throughout its 128 pages, readers will find activities that allow them to explore their interests in STEM disciplines and learn about various professional careers and role models in these fields. Through these exercises, young readers will also learn to understand their emotions, communicate effectively, and develop community projects—key skills for growing as leaders.
The book provides access to a variety of resources developed by CienciaPR, such as online career exploration talks and the Latinas in STEM Collection. In addition, readers will be inspired by the voices and experiences of 40 program alumnae who share how they discovered their passion for science, faced challenges with determination, and used their knowledge to create change in their communities. Other Seeds of Success alumnae express their motivations in this publication through original STEM-related artwork.

“Plant Your Seed of Success is a purpose-driven publication, ready to bloom in the minds and hearts of a new generation. Once they discover their superpowers, there will be no limits to what they can imagine and achieve,” said Dr. Greetchen Díaz, founder of Seeds of Success, co-author, and executive director of CienciaPR.
The book is available on Amazon and will soon be available in bookstores and other retail locations across Puerto Rico.
