Join us for the 2013 Annual Conference of the Caribbean Division of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)

The theme for this year’s Conference is Infectious Diseases in the Tropics with keynote presentations by the recipient of the 2012 Elsevier Foundation Award for Early Career Women Scientists in the Developing World, Dr. Dionicia Gamboa of Universidad Cayetano Heredia in Peru and also from Dr. Gilberto Santiago from the CDC Dengue Branch in Puerto Rico.

The program will feature sessions on Dengue Mosquitoes conducted by the Puerto Rico CDC Office and another session on Fungal Pathogens by Dr. José Pérez Jiménez of the University of Turabo.

The conference will be held at the School of Health Profession at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico on Saturday 21^st of September 2013, starting at 8:00 am. No registration fee.

Scientists of all areas, Science teachers of all levels, students of all ages, and the community at large are encouraged to participate.
