El hongo parasitario de plantas (Aecidium faramaeae) que encontraron en el BioBlitz, es un tipo de hongo de la roya que no se había encontrado antes en Puerto Rico. (Para La Naturaleza)

Scientists discovered three types of fungi that were not previously found in Puerto Rico. These were identified in the Protected Natural Area of Cañón San Cristóbal in Barranquitas.
