The Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance (PSSCRA) will open for applications for its 2020 Pershing Square Sohn Prize for Young Investigators in Cancer Research on Monday, September 30^th, 2019. At least six greater New York City-area-based scientists will each be awarded $200,000/year – for up to three years – to empower them to pursue groundbreaking research at a stage when traditional funding is lacking. We would love your help to ensure that talented, eligible early-career scientists know about this funding opportunity.

Applicants must have:

• Between two to eight years of experience running their own laboratories by the start date of the Prize (July 2020);
• A PhD, MD or MD-PhD (or equivalent);
• Faculty appointments at academic research institutions in the greater New York City area at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor (or equivalent). The greater New York City area includes: New York City’s five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester County, New Jersey, and Western Connecticut (Fairfield and New Haven Counties).

The deadline to submit the Letter of Intent is Monday, November 4, 2019 at 5:00pm ET.
