The scientific journal Sciente is requesting original research by undergraduate students, and reviews and comments by graduate students and faculty, for its inaugural issue. Sciente is the new undergraduate research peer-reviewed journal in all areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine. It is an open access journal where everyone, everywhere, can read and redistribute your research without cost. The content of Sciente will be available in its web page, sciente.upra.edu, and indexed by Google Scholar (scholar.google.com); therefore available to the international scientific community. Sciente is a platform for the next generation of researchers in Puerto Rico to start, learn, and participate of the scientific publishing process. Deadline for submission is January 30, 2009. Selected articles will be notified by February 27, 2009, and published online March 13, 2009, in time for the JTM/PRISM 2009 (www.prlsamp.org).
