Please mark your calendars for the 24th annual Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion on April 19-20, 2018

The theme this year is “Order and Disorder in the Emotional Brain.”  As always, we have an outstanding line-up of leading scientists presenting their research, as well as in-depth discussions led by our graduate students. We hope you can join us as we deliver lively discussions on the origins of psychiatric illnesses and provide creative insights into potential new treatments.

Tickets for the 2018 Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion are available now: register online to reserve your seat.

TRAVEL AWARDS

Application Deadline: February 20, 2018

One of the most rewarding and unique features of the symposium is that we provide travel awards to domestic and international students to come to the UW-Madison and learn with us. These scholarships are of particular interest to students training in neuroscience, psychiatry and psychology. These scholarships are eligible to students at all levels of their education including: undergraduates, graduate and PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, MD students, and residents training in psychiatry.

The HealthEmotions Research Institute will provide $300 for travel and 2 nights gratis hotel accommodations for up to 15 students to attend the Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion and present a poster during the reception on Thursday, April 19th. Applications are accepted now through February 20th. To apply, please visit www.healthemotions.org

Please forward this announcement to any students, faculty, programs, or others who may be interested in participating in this extraordinary learning experience!
