The accumulation of atmospheric CO2, product of human activity, deforestation, and natural processes, gives rise to global warming. For the first time in history, NASA scientists working in collaboration with academic researchers have created a dynamic map of atmospheric CO2 on a global scale. The information gathered from this data will help us better understand the implications of CO2 emissions and determine strategic changes needed to manage the levels of CO2 and curtail warming.
