The Graduate School of Public Health in the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico hosted the forum, "Alzheimer...Do you remember me?". This event served to conscientize the public about the disease and to discuss existing and non exisitng public policies for the care and treatment of Alzheimer patients.

As part of the awareness month about Alzheimer disease, the initiative " A coffee for Alzheimer" aims to gather the community to talk about Alzheimers in Puerto Rico. Jacobo Morales is the spokesman for this initiative.

Approximately 27,000 people have been diagnosed with Cognitive disability in Puerto Rico. However there is not a register that keeps this number updated.
