Alexis G. Lavín Flores, Keyla A. López Pérez and Nataniel Medina Berríos, all student researchers at the UPR Center for Research in Molecular Sciences (CICiM), under the mentorship of Dr. Gerardo Morell and Dr. Brad Weiner, traveled to the prestigious Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island, New York, as part of their graduate studies in chemistry.

(November 8, 2023) The Caribbean Division of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) will recognize Professor Luisa R. Seijo Maldonado during its annual convention for her long career advocating for marginalized communities and empowering the youth of Puerto Rico.

RUM Graduate named to the Engineering Hall of Fame

Rey Almodóvar, a graduate of the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus (RUM), was inducted into the Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame (AEHOF), a distinction that was created in 1987 by the then governor of that state that recognizes the excellence of outstanding individuals, companies and associated projects in that U.S. jurisdiction.
