Puerto Rico wins gold in the XVIII Central America and Caribbean Math Olympiad

The Puerto Rican team, obtained gold, silver and bronze in the Central America and Caribbean Math Olympiad celebrated in Jamaica. The delegation composed by Gustavo Santiago, Miguel Tulla y Omar Santiago, succesfully obtained the second place amongst the 13 countries competing.

The Marine Sciences Department of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus will offer the first Latinoamerican and Caribbean Multivariate Analysis Course using PRIMER V7 & PERMANOVA add on. This couse is scheduled from May 23 to June 3 at the Magueyes Island in Lajas, Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rico Math Olympics, project that is led by the Mathematical Sciences Department at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus, will begin its 17th cycle. The participation exam is directed for students from 3rd to 11th grade of all schools and will available at www.ompr.pr until April 30, 2016.

The Agricultural Summit will be an exchange of ideas between professors, entrepreneurs, bussiness, agronomists about the present agrifood, the successes achieved, what can be done, its projection and the long terms effects.

The event will be held in the School of Bussiness Administration  and has been organized by the College of Agriculture Science, the College of Agronomists of Puerto Rico and the Department of Agriculure.
