José Zamora, a researcher from the Agriculture Extension Service at the University of Puerto Rico, warns about the risk of importing pineapple seeds from Costa Rica due to the possible presence of the fungus Fusarium Oxysporum which could terminate local pineapple production.

Merck announced the winners for the Award for Innovation in Health. A group students called Club H-4 from Carvin School in Carolina received the award int the young category.
