Fifty-one students from public schools participated in the Biomedical Research Education Program (BREP) at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR).

The specialized school in Math and Sciences University Gardens won the High School division of the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge, celebrated this weekend at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center en Huntsville, in Alabama.

The students in the team were Genna Dávila Montero, José Estruche Santos, Yancarlos Maysonet Hernández, Jean A. Pérez Verdejo, Steven Márquez and Rolando Fernández. Over 80 teams from 18 States participated in the challenge.
