Second CienciaPR Symposium

At Ciencia Puerto Rico we often receive questions from students pursuing graduate studies in science, engineering or mathematics who are seeking information on how best to prepare themselves for a professional career inside or outside academia. One of our goals is to support the scientific community and connect them with role models, mentors, experts and opportunities to assist in their education and training.

It is with this purpose that in collaboration with the RCMI Program of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR), we are pleased to present our second educational symposium entitled:

Segundo Simposio CienciaPR

What good would science do if findings, ideas, and experimental designs were not shared with others? Scientists share information in many ways, from making presentations at conferences, to writing books or reviews, but the golden standard for communicating reseach findings with others is the peer-reviewed article. Peer-reviewed articles provide all the important details of an experiment so that it may be properly evaluated and replicated, and the strict process of revision and comments from peers ensures that published information is trust worthy.
