Ciencia Puerto Rico

This project offers students an experience to do an epidemiological research with sexual transmitted diseases in Puerto Rico. The purpose of the general research is to present an analytical evaluation using mathematical epidemiological models that demonstrate the effectiveness of implementing interventions to reduce the rates of sexually transmitted disease of higher prevalence in the general population of Puerto Rico. Utilizing the dynamic model, it’s determined that Puerto Rico has an epidemic in Syphilis in adolescent sexually active.
