Welcome to CienciaPR, an expert and resource network for all who are interested in science and Puerto Rico.
I am a Puerto Rican scientists with a PhD in Molecular Biology. I specialized in cancer research, specifically, understanding the drug resistance in the blood malignancy multiple myeloma. Currently I am working in a career transition into intellectual property law and science policy. As I complete my Juris Doctor, I hope to become the liaison between science, business and law.
As part of my efforts to help my community I founded my own science communication website, www.bench2bench.org. Here I write advice columns for current and prospective students. I also break down complex science topics in lay terms in hopes of increasing scientific literacy in the public. Additionally, I have a podcast that I use to interview succesful professionals in science and other fields so they can provide advice and serve as role models.
