About Me:
I am an agricultural and environmental soil scientist (Ph.D.-Cornell University) specializing in soil physics (mechanics and hydrology) and soil physical chemistry. Research in soil physics has included soil water retention and movement, and relations between soil moisture and its mechanical strength. Work in soil physical chemistry has focused on ion exchange theory, and measurement of solute activities in the aqueous phase of unsaturated soils in the vadose zone. Applied research has focused on water management for agricultural crops. Recent research investigates simple methods for condensing atmospheric water vapor for tree seedling establishment in dry environments.
