About Me:
I was born in Fajardo, PR which makes me a proud "caridura". I graduated on 1991 from Fajardo's public high school Dr. Santiago Veve Calzada. I finished a bachelor in Bio-medicine from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico. Since 1998 I left the island to start a Ph.D. training in Neuroscience at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. These days I work as a post-doc fellow in the Biology department at the University of California in San Diego.
Project Info:
I use the nematode, C. elegans as a research model to study the role of microRNas in neuronal and epidermal cell differentiation.
