El Instituto de Capacitación Laboral y Empresarial Comunitario de P.E.C.E.S. (ubicado en el Barrio Collores Sector Pitahaya Carretera #3 Km, 3.1 Ramal 924 en el pueblo de Humacao) ofrece talleres técnicos en: Mecánica Marítima, Electricidad Residencia básica y en el área de construcción con las especialidades de Ebanistería, Albañilería, y Gypsum Board libres de costos.
Los talleres son presenciales dando la oportunidad a los participantes de recibir capacitaciones teórico prácticos. El horario de los talleres es de 3:30 pm a 8:30 pm con asistencia de dos días en semana para un total aproximado de 14 clases. Durante la capacitación se ofrecen las herramientas y materiales requeridos para cada taller. El proceso de matrícula es uno sencillo y los requisitos son mínimos. Aceptamos participantes desde las edades de 16 años en adelante tanto féminas como caballeros. No se requiere cuarto año.

The Department of Neuroscience and Kavli Institute for Neuroscience at Yale are pleased to announce the 2025 SYNAPSES Symposium to be held on October 23, 2025.
SYNAPSES (Symposia at Yale Neuroscience: Advanced PoStdoc Extramural Series) brings to Yale postdocs from around the world to share their latest work. This year, we will hold a single in-person symposium on October 23, 2025, when all selected candidates will visit. During their in-person visit, selected speakers will present their research to the Yale Neuroscience Community, talk with faculty members in one-on-one meetings, and interact with Yale postdocs.
The Kavli Institute will cover the costs of travel and accommodation and will pay a small honorarium to all selected speakers (if eligible).

The Yale Neuroscience Department encompasses a broad spectrum of interests. Alumni have made extraordinary contributions to science and have earned many of the world’s most distinguished science and math honors, including thirteen Nobel Prizes. Annually, nearly 2,500 high school seniors from around the country accept the challenge of conducting independent science, math or engineering research and completing an entry for the Regeneron Science Talent Search. The competition recognizes 300 student scholars and their schools each year and invites 40 student finalists to Washington, D.C. to participate in final judging, display their work to the public, and meet with notable scientists and government leaders. Each year, Regeneron STS scholars and finalists compete for $3.1 million in awards.

I-Corps PR surge gracias a una alianza entre Grupo Guayacán y el Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), cuyo VentureLab maneja el programa regional de Innovation Corps (I-Corps) ofrecido por el National Science Foundation (NSF) para la región suroeste de los EE.UU. El NSF creó I-Corps para apoyar a los investigadores que reciben fondos de la agencia.
Duración
I-Corps PR es un bootcamp de 5 a 7 semanas durante el cual los equipos participantes conocerán la metodología de Customer Discovery con el objetivo de validar la viabilidad comercial de su idea en una forma ágil y eficiente. Durante el proceso, comenzarán a construir su Business Model Canvas.
A través de 19 ediciones, el programa ha impactado a 414 equipos que incluyen 1,205 participantes.

The School of Public Health at Yale University (YSPH) is seeking applicants at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor on the Tenure Track for the new schoolwide Public Health Data Science and Data Equity Initiative. The home department within YSPH will be decided based on the candidate’s expertise and background. We are particularly interested in applicants with demonstrated records of conducting cutting-edge research in public health data science. Areas of interest include but are not limited to data science methods in electronic medical records, causal inference, digital health, real-world healthcare data, climate change, infectious diseases, public health genetics/genomics, healthcare policy, data science for global health, large-scale data integration, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI), fairness, ethics in AI/ML and high-performance statistical computing.
As one of the first schools of public health in the nation, YSPH has a rich history of being at the forefront of innovative research and education. YSPH serves local, national, and international communities through its high impact interdisciplinary research and training of a diverse group of master’s and doctoral students. We believe that the future of public health will be defined by four pillars: inclusivity, innovation and entrepreneurship, communication, and data-driven leadership.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Develop and maintain an active, externally funded, independent research program focused on development of innovative data science methodology in a specific/broad area of public health.
- Take a leading role in further developing methodological research in data science and engage in collaborative research.
- Work to strengthen equity and fairness in public health data science.
- Publish and present research results in peer-reviewed professional journals and at scientific conferences, garnering national and international visibility.
- Contribute to the data science education program through teaching at least one course at the masters/doctoral level each year and mentoring students.
- Provide service to the department, school, and university through committee work, participation in events, etc.

Qualifications- A doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics, or a related field by the start of appointment. We envision that along with being rooted in traditional quantitative disciplines, a non-traditional data science scholar with a quantitative degree and expertise but focusing on a substantive area such as environmental exposure modeling or healthcare policy will be well-suited for this opening. As mentioned, the home department (within YSPH) will be chosen based on the best fit for the background and expertise of the candidate.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a complex and diverse community.
- Proficiency with statistical computing (e.g., R, Python or C/C ).
- Interest and expertise in large-scale data management, linkage and data integration.
- Demonstrated capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.

The successful candidate’s research may encompass areas such as forest health, disturbance ecology, forest restoration, and the use of adaptive forest management to improve forest stand and ecosystem resilience. The ideal candidate's work should be policy-relevant and contribute to the interdisciplinary, collaborative networks across Yale. The successful candidate will be deeply engaged with The Forest School within YSE and teach courses that support YSE's Society of American Foresters (SAF) accredited master’s program.

The Yale School of the Environment (YSE) invites applications for a Professor in the Practice of Collaborative Solutions, with expertise in the broad area of environmental dialogue and conflict resolution. Professors in the Practice at Yale are distinguished practitioners who demonstrate eminence in the field, sustained accomplishment, and ongoing activity in their area of practice. An initial appointment will be for a 5-year term, renewable upon mutual agreement.
The successful candidate will establish an innovative Collaborative Solutions Program (CSP) at YSE that convenes diverse stakeholders in environmental conflicts and engages them in dialogue to build consensus, mediate conflicts, resolve disputes, and develop collaborative solutions at local, regional, and global scales. The CSP can draw on the expertise of faculty at YSE and other departments and professional schools at Yale (e.g., the Yale Law School, School of Management, School of Public Health, etc.), and on other YSE initiatives such as The Forests Dialogue and the Yale Environmental Dialogue, to support their activities.
QualificationsCandidates should have expertise in collaborative solutions to environmental conflicts, e.g., endangered species, natural resources (e.g., water, land, forests), energy, climate change, pollution, etc.. Applicants are expected to have an advanced degree in a relevant field, which may include conflict resolution, communication, international relations, law, political science, public administration, sociology, an interdisciplinary degree, or other related field. Applicants with a well-established reputation in conflict resolution are preferred.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- develop an internationally recognized Collaborative Solutions Program involving Yale students and faculty,
- teach and mentor graduate students, particularly those in our professional Master’s program, and
