H.R.813 - Puerto Rico Integrity in Medicare Advantage Act

To amend Title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for temporary stabilization of Medicare Advantage payments following Hurricane Maria and ensure the payments to beneficiaries and healthcare providers. This bill seeks to address the disparity in healthcare between Puerto Rico and other jurisdictions in the United States.

There is a disparity in healthcare funding when Puerto Rico is compared to other jurisdictions in the United States. This Bill aims to mitigate and address the present disparity by increasing healthcare funding in the island by establishing a 7.0 Average Geographic Adjustment floor for each jurisdiction within the United States.
