Amgen also announced that for 2010, their demands for personnel with masters, associate and bachelors degrees will increase by 60%, 64% and 35%, respectively. "Amgen has also invested in educational programs at all academical levels, including a $300,000 investment for a Bioprocessing Training Center at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez, and $100,000 for a center at the University of Puerto Rico-Humacao." "Also at Amgen's press conference, Jorge Silva-Puras, executive director of the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO) and CienciaPR member, announced PRIDCO’s efforts to boost science and mathematics education in Puerto Rico’s education system, by donating $1 million to Operación Éxito."
