These centers will advise inventors and business owners in subjects like intellectual property, patents, marketing, financing, how to obtain federal funding for research and development and international commerce. Due to this accreditation it is likely that PR-SBDC will change its name to Small Business Technology and Development Center (PR-SBTDC).
