The "Demystifying MD/PhD Series" seeks to provides appropriate information and resources for individuals interested in MD/PhD to become competitive applicants and successful physician-scientists in-training. 

Our first event is coming up on October 6th at 4PM EST via Zoom. It will be "What is the Truth: A discussion on physician-scientists and MD/PhD" with Dr. Lawrence Brass who is the MD/PhD Program Director U Penn Perelman School of Medicine and Associate Dean for Combined Degree and Physician Scholars Programs. Dr. Brass has been active at the national level in the development of training programs for physician-scientists, has served as President of the National Association of MD-PhD Programs, Chair of the AAMC GREAT section on MD-PhD training and was a member of the NIH Physician-Scientist Workforce advisory group in 2013-2014. He is also a practicing hematologist whose research interests are in the fields of hemostasis and vascular biology. He will be joined by MD/PhD students as well on this program.
