Students applying to or currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Biomedical Sciences at Ponce School of Medicine & Health Sciences can apply to the MBRS-RISE Program. Incoming Ph.D. students will be selected based on GPA, GRE scores, research experience, post-bachelor’s coursework in medical sciences, presentations, publications and a personal interview. To be considered for admission into the MBRS-RISE Program, the applicant must be accepted into the PSM PhD program. Admission requirements for the PhD program are: - BS degree at a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 39 credits in sciences including General Biology (8 cr.), General Chemistry (8 cr.), Organic Chemistry (8 cr.), Calculus (3 cr.) and Physics (8 cr.). - Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (700 minimum required). - Three letters of recommendation - Personal interview Applicants are also required to submit: Official transcripts of all universities attended, certificate of No Penal Record, completed application form and application processing fee of $100.00 (non-refundable).
