Paid Science Research Opportunities Available for Community College Students

Eligibility for both types of internships:
- currently enrolled at a local community college
- legally able to work in the US
- completed general chemistry (organic chemistry or microbiology suggested)
Time Commitment: 20 hrs/wk (minimum) for duration of program
Pay: $240/wk stipend

Research projects available in 3 areas:
- Microbial ecology
- Natural products screening for new therapeutics
- Atmospheric chemistry
Important Dates
November 6, 2015: Application deadline
December 14, 2015: All internships begin (Lab Orientation & Training Workshops)
June 2016: 6-month internships end
December 2016: 1-year internships end
Two Types of Internship Positions Available:
6-month internship: for students who DO plan to transfer to a 4-year school
1-year internship: for students who DO NOT plan to transfer to a 4-year school; upon successful completion of the program, assistance will be provided to place you in a full-time research job
