(1) Postdoctoral Fellowship Cancer Prevention & Control in Children & Families The Cancer Control Program of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Medical Center (Washington, DC) is seeking to hire a postdoctoral research fellow in cancer prevention and control, with a focus on children and families. This fellow will primarily be expected to: direct and assist in the management of ongoing, federally-funded research efforts within child health psychology, including projects addressing multiple behavior change in adolescents and young adults (tobacco- and cancer-related lifestyle risks) and behavioral aspects of cancer genetic testing in parents; contribute to data analysis and manuscript preparation, and; participate in the development of new studies. Applicants with research interests in behavioral and psychosocial oncology, behavioral prevention and risk reduction early in the lifespan, pediatric tobacco use, and cancer-related decision making, quality of life, and treatment outcomes among parents and children are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, developmental or behavioral science, public health, or a related field. Opportunities for independent research and supervision for psychology licensure may exist depending on the candidate’s background, training, and interests; special consideration will be given to graduates of association-accredited degree programs.
