Please post and distribute widely - note May 5 deadline.

Euroscience, the pan-European interdisciplinary science association, is offering generous travel grants for American Ph.D. candidates to its upcoming meeting in Copenhagen (21-26 June 2014).  The deadline for applications has been extended to May 5.

Grants will cover travel and accommodation expenses up to 1300 Euros (about $1800) for U.S. participants.

This is a great opportunity to meet top scientists and science policymakers from Europe and around the world and listen to talks and participate in discussions on cutting edge science and global issues from a European perspective.  The Euroscience Open Forum, held every other year in a different European city, has often been described as Europe's counterpart to the AAAS Annual Meeting (but, I would add, with better coffee).

Attendance is expected to top 5,000, including over 1,000 young scientists and students.  The program can be found at http://esof2014.org/.  Copenhagen is a wonderful city and, if past experience is any guide, the conference should be a lot of fun, in addition to an excellent professional experience.

Information on how to apply can be found at http://www.euroscience.org/grants-for-esof-call-for-support.html.
