La Universidad Central de Bayamón acaba de recibir fondos externos para el desarrollo de un nuevo bachillerato en Neurociencia del Comportamiento y buscan candidatos que puedan estar interesados en dirigir la creación y administración de dicho programa y/o colaborar en la enseñanza de los nuevos cursos. Adjunto información sobre la convocatoria para reclutar para dos puestos: A Behavioral Neuroscience Program Developer – (1.0 FTE/12 mos./Y1-5) is necessary to develop and pilot teach a new curriculum for a bachelor’s of science in behavioral neuroscience, including identifying resources and directing the supplying/equipping of a new neuroscience lab and classrooms. In Puerto Rico, the approval of such a new program is contingent on having in place a program director and curriculum for all degree programs. Qualifications [including training and experience] required. The Program Developer must have a Ph.D. in neurobiology, at least three years’ experience teaching neuroscience courses at a university and curriculum development experience. Preference is given to candidates with prior experience as a program coordinator and/or experience in the neuroscience field. A Behavioral Neuroscience Instructor – (.6 FTE/12mos./Y1-5) is necessary to assist the Behavioral Neuroscience Developer and teach pilot new courses and develop/oversee lab activities. Qualifications [including training and experience] required. This person must have at least a master’s degree in neuroscience and two years teaching experience and/or two years’ experience working in the field.
