Deadline:

Tuesday, 7 November 2017

The Asthma Collaboratory at UCSF is one day away from closing its water filters for Puerto Rico fundraiser. We recently posted a message written by our Senior Study Coordinator in Puerto Rico, Vivian Medina.

She writes, "Before Maria hit, most of the bottled water consumed in Puerto Rico was produced in factories on the island. The island was already running low on bottled water before the storm, because it was exporting a lot to places that had been damaged by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Water is the most important thing, more important than power.”

We will be purchasing PointOne Bucket Adaptor kits at a 78% discount, meaning if we hit our goal of $10,000 we will be able to purchase around 750 filters for Puerto Rico, with each filter providing 295 gallons of clean water per day.
