The STEM Program Evaluation and Research Laboratory (STEM-PERL) in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University seeks an Administrative Associate to join our research team. Reporting to the Director and Associate Director of STEM-PERL, the Administrative Associate will contribute to the support of several grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI). The grants fund three project types: program evaluation, theory-based educational research, as well as applied research which all seek to improve student performance, persistence, and inclusion in the sciences. The Administrative Associate will collaborate with STEM-PERL team members and faculty to help facilitate communication and research within our current grant-funded projects.

The Administrative Associate will contribute to the management of grant-funded research at various stages of completion in addition to executing tasks that progress project research goals. These tasks include creating and distributing surveys on software like Qualtrics, conducting literature reviews, facilitating meetings, and executing research activities. The Administrative Associate will be responsible for coordinating research projects involving evaluation of college STEM programs, implementing evidence-based teaching practices, discovery-based education, and researching the concept of trust in college STEM classrooms. The Administrative Associate will contribute to lab communications, research execution, and data management for these grants.
