Environmentalists say the government is planning a golf course in the Northeastern Corridor

The Coalition Pro Northeastern Corridor says that the government has hired a consulting company that develops golf courses instead of an environmental consulting company, to design the usage plan for the area.

Increase in electronic waste

As technology advances there is an increase in the generation of electronics' waste. To reduce the number of discarded electronics at local landfills, the Solid Waste Administration will be collecting electronics at the following locations: Mario "Quijote" Morales Coliseum in Guaynado, the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao, and La Guancha in Ponce. They will be collecting electronics from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Proposed changes to the Diagnostic and Static Manual of Mental Disorders include taking into account environmental factors when diagnosing mental disorders, a new scale to measure the severity of cases, and consolidating autism diagnoses, among other things. A draft of the new Manual can be seen here and comments can be made until April 20th. The new document will become effective on 2013.
