The Flor de Maga Butterfly Garden was built as part of an educational project involving students, teachers and the principal of the Luis Negron Lopez High School. This butterfly garden was desgined to host the Monarch Butterfly, amongst other species.

The FDA has recently aproved a device co-invented by Dr. Eduardo J. Juan García, Professor in the Deparment of Electric Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez. This device, developed to optimize artificial ventilation in neonatal and pediatric patients, will be moving to the comercialization stage.

Astronomers detect a quasar of more than 10 trillion grades d

With the help of the Arecibo Observatory, international astronomers recently discovered that the temperature in the center of a quasar, an astronomic source of electromagnetic energy, could be more than 10 trillion grades, negating the established theory of 100 billion grades.

Heart Shaped Sunspot spotted from Aguadilla

A huge heart shaped sunspot with at least two times the diameter of Earth was captured by camera from Puerto Rico. Efraín Morales, from the Caribbean Astronomy Society, captured the images using a telescope with a hydrogen-alpha filter.
