Amyloid formation is directly associated with the development of Alzheimer’s, Parkingson’s, Huntington’s, and many other degenerative diseases. Dr. Juan Lopez-Garriga’s lab at the UPRM is currently investigating H2S’s role in the inhibition of amyloid formation.
