Ceiba - CROEC is a high school specialized in Science and Math in Ceiba. This new iniatitve will offer an specilized curriculim in Science in Math for 300 students. Ths school is modeled after the CROEM in Mayaguez.

On the “Cerro las Mesas” in Mayagüez, future Puerto Rican scientists, mathematicians and engineers nurture their dreams of discovery. The “croemitas”, as people refer to the students of the Residential Center of Educational Opportunities of Mayagüez (CROEM, spanish acronym) obtain a first class high school education. Among CROEM’s excellent educators is the Physics teacher Elba M. Sepúlveda Cabassa.

Governor Alejandro García Padilla was present when a group of CROEM (Residencial Center for Educational Opportunities of Mayagüez) alumni were recognized with the Educational Achievement Award 2013 by the Board of Directors of New York's Puerto Rican Day Parade.
