San Juan, PR, May 22, 2017 — The Puerto Rico Astronomy Society, Inc. (PRAS),  the mayor of Vega Baja, Hon. Marcos Cruz Molina and the local administration, invite the general public to a night of astronomy observation. The event will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2017 starting at 6:30 pm at the Antigua Pista del Campamento Tortuguero in Vega Baja, carr. PR-686 and PR-687.

University students from Humacao win NASA competition

Students from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) at Humacao, represented the Island in the Human Exploration Rover Challenge NASA competition and won first place for the fifth time. They built a human powered all terrain vehicle that can drive on the surface of Mars of the Moon.

The San Juan National Historic Site and the Astronomy Society of Puerto Rico invite the general public to a night of observation where attendees will be able to use telescopes to see the craters on the moon and the planets Venus, Mars and Saturn. This free event will take place next Saturday, November 12 from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

The activity will be this Saturday, January 16 starting at 7:30pm at el Centro Histórico-Turístico del Cibuco, located in Bo. Cibuco, Carr. PR-818 in Corozal.
