The Nanotechnology Center at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez impacts students in public schools on the west side of the Island, where 73% of students are below the poverty level. This program exposes students to STEM careers and encourages them to pursue higher education.

Beatriz A. Quiñones Colón and Bethzaely Fernández Reyes, students from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus obtained first and second place, in their respective categories, during the Emerging Researchers National Conference in STEM (ERN), which took place in Washington, D.C.

RUM students receive 5 awards at PACE Global forum

Ten students from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus (nine from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and one from the Department of English) formed part of a team that received 5 awards during the Global Forum of the Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering Education (PACE), that took place in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Rock Solid: 15 years of collegial commitment
