The NASA spacecraft Cassini underwent a historic maneuver by completing 22 risky orbits between Saturn and its rings. Efrain Morales, an astrophotographer  of the Caribbean Astronomy Society, captured an impressive image of Saturn in the moments when Cassini was sending signals to earth to confirm its successful journey near Saturn's rings.

Using the radio-telescope with the most powerful transmission capacity on the planet, astronomers at the Arecibo Observatory, captured radar images of the 2014 JO25 asteroid. Studies performed at the Arecibo Observatory revealed that this asteroid, considered potentially dangerous due to its size and occasional proximity to earth, is two times the previously estimated size.

Many of the stars that we see are binary (double), curiously planets discovered in these two sun systems could be habitable. Studies show that it is possible that these planets could retain water on their surface for prolonged periods of time, implying the ability to sustain life.

The astronomy professor Larry Molnar from Calvin College in Michigan explained that it is predicted that when a binary star, that is already visible through telescopes,  explodes it will be seen with the naked eye since it will double its brilliance.

Heart Shaped Sunspot spotted from Aguadilla

A huge heart shaped sunspot with at least two times the diameter of Earth was captured by camera from Puerto Rico. Efraín Morales, from the Caribbean Astronomy Society, captured the images using a telescope with a hydrogen-alpha filter.
