If we are what we eat, what will we be with climate change?

I grew up in the 1980s, wanting to eat chips, cheetos and other bags full of junk food while my mom tried to push a plate of rice and beans down my throat. Today, as a scientist, I study why we eat what we eat, and how it affects our health.

To establish the "Law for the protection of women and the preservation of life" within the abortion procedures in Puerto Rico. With the establishment of this law, it is proposed: 1) To carry out abortion procedures only in authorized hospital facilities.

El paso de María e Irma por Puerto Rico ha dejado grabado imágenes de destrucción por parte de los huracanes e inundaciones asociadas al cambio climático en las mentes puertorriqueñas. La sucesión de estos ciclones intensos que han arrasado a través del Caribe en las semanas pasadas, han levantado el debate sobre su relación con el cambio climático, dado que mayores temperaturas se esperan alimenten huracanes más fuertes. El evento fue descrito como un "tornado de 50 a 60 millas de ancho atravezando Puerto Rico" por el meteorólogo Jeff Weber de NCAR.

Chikungunya has been declared an epidemic in Puerto Rico. Among the symptoms cause by this virus, transmitted by a mosquito bite, are muscle and joint pain, fever, and skin rash, among others.
