ENHANCING VIROLOGY TRAINING SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM

The Meharry ENVIT Program is a 10-week virology research training that includes didactic lectures in fundamentals of virology and career-development topics for a virology-focused research and education career. The overall goal of “Enhancing Virology Training (ENVIT) through Summer Research” is to prepare and increase the number of underrepresented minority (URM) students in virology-focused careers through didactic, hands-on, mentored, and career-development training.

Apply to the Woods Hole Partnership Education Program (PEP)

PEP is a ten-week intern program hosted by six Woods Hole Science Institutions in collaboration with the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore (UMES). The program targets undergraduates (especially rising juniors and seniors) and runs May 31 through August 7.

We are currently accepting applications for the Diversity Science Research Experience program at the University of Washington under the direction of Sapna Cheryan, Stephanie A. Fryberg, Cheryl Kaiser, Cynthia Levine and Kristina Olson. Our ten-week internship program (June 17 – August 23, 2018) prepares undergraduates to apply to graduate school and engage in the research process firsthand.

SOARS is an undergraduate to graduate research internship program for students interested in the atmospheric and related sciences, based at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (Boulder, Colorado). It is dedicated to broadening participation in the atmospheric and related sciences and is built around genuine research experiences, mentoring by top scientists and engineers, and a supportive learning community.

Summer Program in Biostatistics & Computational Biology

The Summer Program is an intensive 6-week program, during which qualified participants receive an interesting and enjoyable introduction to biostatistics, epidemiology, and public health research. This program is designed to expose undergraduates to the use of quantitative methods for biological, environmental, and medical research.
