Aguadilla, Puerto Rico October 25th, 2023 – The Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Aguadilla (IAUPR-Ag) proudly announces the acquisition and successful installation of the cutting-edge Delong Instruments LVEM5 benchtop electron microscope, with TEM and SEM modes, bolstering its research capabilities and positioning the institution at the forefront of scientific exploration and discovery.

The collaborations that Dr. Elizabeth Padilla Crespo formed with researchers from the federal Department of Agriculture will allow her to take her work "to the next level".
A research professor from the Aguadilla campus of the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico was the only Puerto Rican chosen, along with seven other U.S. researchers, by the federal Department of Agriculture (USDA) to participate as a Science Fellow in the 2023 Kika de la Garza Fellowship Program.

Boricua students receive the Graduate Research Fellowship Program grant

We would like to congratulate all the students who received the prestigious Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). This fellowship recognizes and supports students who have excelled in science, mathematics, technology or engineering (also known as STEM disciplines) and other fields of knowledge. Scholarship recipients receive a stipend of $34,000 per year to pursue graduate studies. The application is highly competitive and extensive, requiring several letters of recommendation, a personal essay and a research proposal with an intellectual merit section and a societal impact section.
