Note: Does anyone in your agency willing to assist us? Ours is an agriscience project with 10th grade students in the Food Technology area of agriculture. Extract: sub-groups of 2, 3 or 4 students is working in developing a food recipe using the introduced iguana (gallina de palo) to the island. This animal has found optimal tropical conditions to have developed into a plague causing crops damage to farmers. The concept is to use this adverse situation into possible small businesses using the iguana meat as the main ingredient in the recipes. The intention is to have the students show off their works in an agriscience fair scheduled in the upcoming first week of December 2013. The fair will be open to the adjacent community and everyone that wishes to attend. At the end of this project students shall feel confident that they have the abilities to start their own business after they finish their after high school education or while they attend college or technological institution, thus becoming a productive and responsible individual in our society..
