I'm a senior undergraduate student majoring in Biology at the University of Central Florida, upon transferring in the Spring 2018 semester. I am expected to graduate in Spring 2021.
I transferred to the University of Central Florida in Spring 2018, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico-Ponce Campus, where I was working towards a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, from 2015 to 2017.
In my college career, I've worked as a peer mentor, clerical assistant, and volunteer. Currently, I volunteer at my local church (Victoria en la Cruz), where I have had the opportunity to develop leadership skills by teaching a monthly Bible class to kids aged 3-5 yrs., during the Spring 2020 semester.
Besides developing and polishing my leadership skills, I'm also interested in performing research in the areas of biology, and genetics. As part of the Honors Undergraduate Thesis program at the University of Central Florida, I have been working towards developing an undergraduate thesis with the help of a thesis chair, from January 2020 to the present.
After I graduate with my bachelor's degree in Biology, I intend to go to veterinary school. There, I will pursue a Doctor in Veterinary medicine (DVM) degree. After I obtain my DVM degree, I am interested in being board certified in Canine and Feline Practice. Then, I would like to have my own clinic.
