I have lived in Puerto Rico and worked in El Yunque for the past 20 years. I am currently a Professor of Earth and Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania and a affilated scientist at the International Institute of Tropical Forestry. I spend part of the year in Philadelphia and part in Puerto Rico where I supervise several university students who conduct research in the NE portion of the island.
