About Me and Project Info

About Me:

Currently I am a Ph.D candidate at The Ohio State University, where I am conducting research on coordination of nutrient sensing, nutrient availability, and cell growth in rumen protozoa.

Project Info:

Coordination of nutrient sensing, nutrient availability, and cell growth in rumen protozoa. -Chemotaxis toward glucose and xylose by mixed ruminal protozoa and dose-responsive insulin recovery from wortmannin inhibition by entodiniomorphid cultures. -Differential chemotaxis by entodiniomorphids and isotrichids toward peptides of bacterial, protozoal, and soy origin. -Differential chemotaxis by entodiniomorphids and isotrichids toward glucose after incubation with emulsified polyunsaturated fatty acids.
