Compelled to contribute and expand my knowledge and skills in the areas of microbiology and immunology research; with emphasis on infectious diseases. My career aspirations rely on aiding in the eradication efforts of prevalent and emerging infectious diseases by studying the biochemical, cellular, genetic, and immunological factors associated to host-pathogen interactions in order to develop novel strategies for unique and effective antimicrobial therapies and vaccines.
