Welcome to CienciaPR, an expert and resource network for all who are interested in science and Puerto Rico.
Science has always been a special interest of mine. When my daughter was born I realized the importance of protecting and preserving our environment for future generations. As a consequence, I am presently completing a Masters Degree in Environmental Science. Pursuing a career in environmental science, that will allow me to confront environmental issues, is my main goal.
I will become a well-known and respected researcher revitalizing the ways environmental issues are analyzed. I will achieve this goal by encouraging, motivating and stimulating my fellow peers to help people live in a better and healthier world. Learning from the world’s leading experts on environmental issues will push my limits proving my determination and expertise.
I am currently working on my Master’s Thesis Proposal and will begin my research this summer. My research will involve the development of a nanodisc based on micro urea biofuel cell in hopes of accomplishing urea removal and quantifying biosystems. The preceding research connects very well with my interests in developing new approaches in solving environmental issues.
I believe that my research and service goals are very important and relevant to the needs of modern society. These are very exciting times for environmentalist and my experiences and achievements provide me with the confidence that I can contribute effectively in the onward evolution of society, while also developing further as a valued scholar, and member of the community.
